Information Sessions

The Lifetime Learning Centre holds information sessions throughout the year. Our information sessions will provide you with further information about LLC courses so that you can make an informed choice about programs.


About Information Sessions
Attend an information session if you are considering attending the Lifetime Learning Centre. Information sessions are held at the Centre (535 Lake St., St. Catharines) approximately three to four weeks before each semester (usually in August, October, January and March).
Following the information session, you may request a registration interview to choose your program of study and to fill out the appropriate application forms. Registration for courses occurs four times per year at LLC. The four starting dates for courses occur in September, October, February, and March.


Upcoming Information Session Dates & Times

August 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
August 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
September 7, 2010 at 10:00 p.m.

Returning students:
Pick up your course materials on September 7, 2010 between 1:00-2:00

New Students:
Orientation Session September 8, 2010 at 9:00 followed by class
Classes start September 8, 2010

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The teacher needs you here to be able to provide continuous, quality instruction and the Ministry of Education of Ontario requires that you are here. You give 18 hours/week and we give you the best instruction you have ever had!


Student Cards
It is necessary that ALL students have a student card. You will receive a student's card which will allow you to use various rooms in the school. The card may allow you to purchase academic versions of software at reduced rates.


Lockers
All students must have a locker. Coats and boots are not allowed in the labs or classrooms.


Dress Code
This is a business program and it is our belief that the way you present yourself is as important as your knowledge and skills. Please dress accordingly.


Smoking
All DSBN properties are smoke free.


Activity Fee
For a full semester, the fee is $60. This fee covers speakers, workshops, and social events at the Centre.

Parking
There is plenty of parking on school grounds. The student parking lot is accessed from either Lakeport Rd. or Linwell Rd.
